lyrics

Don’t let circumstances prevail again.
You can’t bring your loaded guns to a fair game.

Won’t trade a dark city life.
One day, rewind the world.
No...maybe you’ll go short, go yield.

Closed? Why did it end?
No time to click ‘send’ or ‘save’.
I’ve died on the words of the wind.

Don’t let circumstances prevail again
The custodian knocks another pound off here and there.

I’ve sheltered in so many places now. Put a shield around some frightened child, dropping secrets from the wells of their eyes. Built a pyramid from nothing, just scraps of nothing. Held it close and whispered into its dark crevasse. And the pyramid becomes the child and the child becomes a guide and points the way through history and eternity and a golden, shimmering light passes through the pyramid’s form again, casting endless changing shadows that know nothing of their design.

Guarded like your memory
Keeps you feeling weak, inside.
Don’t dare you cry
It wasn’t all intentional.

Cool light around
Custodian’s the rising sun.
Oh, let it out.
A mirror on a dinosaur.
