Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) "Maps of Revenge and Forgiveness" (2012) and "Vanity Project" (2018) were a pair of exceptional albums that really knocked me out with their indescribable beauty. This two-track EP emanates the same mesmerizing post-progressive magic, which permeates my soul completely, and shuts off the world outside for some time. Ed Cartledge is one of my big hopes for a bright future in contemporary rock music. Favorite track: Caution.

Caution 03:42
I sit awake again, thinking of dust, Banishing thoughts of anyone else in pain, in flight. No, no. I'll want it on my screens, out of my head. Got all their faces boxed up now, dispatched, displaced. No, no. And my history never felt so real. King Canute fights for me, holds back the waves. Got daily papers to confirm my needs, beliefs, the whole show. They showed me how it ends at the edge of the sea. But that's not my concern, no, no. I've earned my way, I've paid. And my history never felt so clean. If I'd read history, I'd have known that anyone's home can burn. If I'd read history, I'd know sometimes all they want's to go home.
2.
Could we work in our fields? Could the soil run out through our fingers? Might it burst in our eyes? Could some lightning fixate the problem? I forgot to take note Of all the glass-eyed mermaids, soon gone. Don't belie your cold heart Or the way you are, The things you buy, Delayed concerns, The works. But if we’d worked in our fields Would the soil be part of our fingers? Does it leave us bone dry? Better check that when the dust settles. OK. Its a trap. It’s a hand Dealt by Affluent men, Making friends, Making ends Come alive For what? Clientele, Stuff to sell, Blood bonds. Man alive, this synergy. It is a gateway. Megatons? No way. This shit is getting so cold! If it's violence that you sought, Then it's violence that you are. Where the simplest life can bloom Will be dead zones. We've sent our wisest To the ground. We've sent our wisest To the ground.
